The organization is actively recruiting for the position of Senior Credit Analyst to join its specialized analytical team. This team is responsible for evaluating creditworthiness across a diverse range of financial institutions, including both banking and non-banking entities throughout the African continent.

Conduct comprehensive fundamental credit assessments on a portfolio comprising Nigerian financial institutions, insurance companies, and corporate entities, ensuring detailed evaluation of creditworthiness. Deliver your findings and insights during committee presentations to facilitate informed decision-making.
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of pertinent methodologies and demonstrate proficiency in their practical application.
Track and evaluate emerging trends to maintain precise, forward-looking ratings at all times.
Facilitating transparent and consistent interactions with financial markets and issuers is essential to ensure alignment, clarity, and mutual understanding throughout all engagements.
Develop and sustain strong, professional relationships with fixed-income investors, financial journalists, and senior executives within financial institutions to foster collaboration and trust.
Operate autonomously while leveraging the expertise and collaboration of the broader analytical team to strengthen the Company’s Banking, Corporate, and Insurance franchise, with a primary focus on cultivating and expanding relationships with key external stakeholders.
Seeking applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with three or more years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, alongside familiarity with agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of collaborative work are required. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, troubleshooting and debugging code, and contributing to system architecture decisions.
The ideal candidate must possess a robust academic foundation, at minimum holding a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
Obtaining a professional qualification from ACA or ARCA would provide significant value to the role.
Proficient in both spoken and written English communication is required.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record in customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Proven expertise in credit and risk assessment, supported by robust financial analysis capabilities, typically cultivated within a financial institution, regulatory body, or public accounting firm, is required.
Proficient knowledge of Nigerian corporate structures, their regulatory frameworks, and the primary challenges impacting these markets, along with insights into major industry participants and key economic drivers.
Demonstrates exceptional communication abilities, including the capacity to convey ideas clearly and concisely, whether through oral or written means, with prior experience in public speaking.
Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis along with well-developed problem-solving abilities is essential.
