The company is actively recruiting a seasoned Senior Credit Analyst to join its dedicated analytical team. This role will involve assessing both bank and non-bank financial institutions throughout the African continent.

Oversee and execute key responsibilities encompassing a diverse range of operational and strategic tasks critical to the role’s success. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of efficiency and accountability. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize workflows and enhance productivity across departments. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making. Serve as a primary liaison between senior management and frontline employees, fostering transparent communication and resolving escalated issues promptly. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards through rigorous oversight and proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Accurate rating performance stands as a critical responsibility, ensuring evaluations are conducted with precision and reliability.
Conduct comprehensive fundamental credit assessments of a diverse portfolio encompassing Nigerian financial institutions, insurance companies, and corporate entities. Prepare and deliver your findings to various committees for review and consideration.
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of and proficiency in applying pertinent methodologies.
Track advancements closely and maintain precise, forward-looking ratings.
Facilitates clear and professional interaction with financial markets and issuers, ensuring accurate and timely exchange of information. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey complex financial concepts effectively. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with issuers, responding to inquiries, and providing support to ensure alignment with market expectations and regulatory standards.
Develop and sustain strong, professional relationships with fixed-income investors, financial media representatives, and senior executives within financial institutions.
Operate autonomously while receiving support from the analytical team to strengthen the Company’s Banking, Corporate, and Insurance franchise, primarily by cultivating and expanding relationships with key external stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a robust academic foundation, holding at minimum a Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline.
A professional qualification from ACA or ARCA would be greatly advantageous.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for this role.
