Key Duties and Responsibilities
Install, configure, monitor, and maintain wired and wireless networking infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN’s), wide area networks (WAN’s), routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual private networks (VPNs), ensuring optimal performance and security.
Maintain reliable network connectivity for the head office, all branch locations, the central data center, and remote users.
Responsibilities include overseeing network performance metrics, ensuring consistent uptime, monitoring bandwidth usage, and verifying service availability at all times.
Investigate and address network-related issues while delivering expert technical assistance to end users.
Responsibilities include maintaining servers, backup systems, email platforms, internet services, and core banking connectivity infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.
Develop and enforce robust network security measures, including access controls, software patching, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for network documentation, asset tracking, IP allocations, software licenses, and configuration backups.
Collaborate effectively with internet service providers, vendors, and IT service partners to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Responsibilities include overseeing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, effective communication, and the capacity to adapt to evolving project demands while maintaining a results-driven approach.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Relevant certifications, including CCNA, CCNP, Compton Network+, Security+, Fortinet, Azure, AWS, or ITIL, are advantageous.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations.
Proficiency in banking, fintech, financial services, or a regulated setting is highly desirable.
Proficient in routing, switching, firewall management, VPN configurations, network monitoring, cybersecurity protocols, and backup system administration.
