The Intern for Child Rights and Responsible Business will assist International Alert in advancing initiatives that bridge child rights, responsible business practices, business and human rights, and private sector involvement.

The ideal candidate must possess robust research and analytical capabilities, coupled with a commitment to client service and the skill to cultivate productive relationships across businesses, industry stakeholders, government entities, civil society organizations, and development partners.

The intern will support the execution of programs, foster stakeholder engagement, conduct business outreach, analyze policies, manage knowledge, coordinate training initiatives, and devise actionable solutions to assist companies in recognizing, mitigating, and resolving risks to children’s rights across their operations, supply chains, and local communities.

Oversee a range of critical duties, including ensuring the smooth execution of operational tasks, maintaining adherence to company policies, and fostering a productive work environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and streamline workflows, while providing guidance to team members to enhance performance and achieve collective goals. Monitor progress through regular evaluations, address any challenges proactively, and implement corrective actions as needed to sustain high standards of efficiency and quality. Additionally, serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and resolve interdepartmental issues promptly.

Program Support collaborates closely with Program Managers to ensure the seamless execution of initiatives by providing administrative, logistical, and operational assistance. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing documentation, tracking progress, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The role demands strong organizational and time-management capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word), and exceptional attention to detail.
