GENERAL INFORMATION:

CSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (CSI) is a global public health management consulting and research organization focused on enhancing the health of individuals and communities worldwide. Currently, CSI is executing the Routine Immunization Project across nine states in Nigeria. The initiative aims to fortify routine immunization systems by addressing persistent challenges that hinder progress and declining vaccination rates in the supported states. Additionally, it seeks to eliminate barriers preventing zero-dose and under-immunized children in urban slums and remote communities from accessing life-saving vaccines and essential health services.

SUMMARY:

The State Immunization Technical Advisor will collaborate closely with the State Primary Health Care Agency or Board (SPH CDA/B) team in the designated Nigerian state, offering strategic guidance to strengthen the planning and execution of national priority initiatives at both state and Local Government Area (LGA) levels. Additionally, the advisor will partner with the CSI team to deliver comprehensive technical assistance for vaccination initiatives, including routine immunization activities, pending final approval.

Oversee and execute key operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with established standards. Handle project management tasks, including planning, execution, and monitoring, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain productivity and quality benchmarks. Develop and maintain documentation to support processes and facilitate team alignment.

The State Immunization Advisor will offer specialized technical guidance to the State Public Health Commissioner’s Office and collaborate with local partners to enhance immunization initiatives.

Act as a key strategic technical advisor at the highest level to SPH CDA/B while actively contributing as a dedicated member of the relevant technical subcommittees and working groups that oversee routine immunization initiatives.

Collaborate with the NPHC DA and technical partners to conduct evaluations of immunization initiatives within the assigned state, thereby supporting the development of high-quality reports for submission to the national level.

In partnership with the SPH CDA/B technical working groups and subcommittees, assist in establishing and enhancing state-level alignment with national strategies, including the Zero Dose Reduction initiative and the Measles Rubella Switch campaign.

You will deliver technical support in evaluating program performance, working closely with partners to gather and assess data, track performance metrics, and provide strategic guidance to SPH CDA/B for planning and executing corrective measures.

Foster strategic alliances between CSI and regional collaborators, including NGOs, to enhance their engagement and offer essential support and technical expertise to program initiatives. Collaborate closely with these organizations to guarantee consistent technical assistance across all tiers of program implementation.

Oversee the preparation and submission of reports to CSI and our partners, encompassing both periodic updates and comprehensive final deliverables.

Maintain consistent communication with the CSI Nigeria leadership team and the CSI global Immunization practice team via email, phone, Slack, or other appropriate channels.

Reporting to the CSI Nigeria Immunization Project Director, you will provide state-level oversight and leadership to the CSI state team, ensuring the effective implementation of project activities across designated states.
