The Programs Officer will oversee the strategic planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of all programs and projects under the RIO Foundation. This position guarantees the successful delivery of initiatives, ensuring they are completed punctually, within defined parameters and financial constraints, and in harmony with the organization’s objectives, donor specifications, and community expectations.

The successful applicant will drive enhanced program effectiveness by skillfully managing initiatives, producing comprehensive reports, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and consistently refining project execution.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategic initiatives that enhance performance. Manage resources effectively, prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, and deliver measurable results in a timely manner. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous growth while adhering to compliance and industry best practices. Develop and maintain clear communication channels to ensure seamless coordination and transparency across all levels of the organization.

Oversee the strategic development, meticulous planning, and seamless execution of programs and projects.

Prepare comprehensive work plans, allocate budgets, establish timelines, and design activity schedules in meticulous detail.

Facilitate on-site operations and collaborate with beneficiaries, partners, and local stakeholders to ensure effective field engagement and alignment with project objectives.

Evaluate and track program performance through established indicators and measurement tools.

Gather, evaluate, and maintain comprehensive records of program data, performance metrics, and impactful success narratives.

Compile comprehensive narrative and financial reports in a timely manner for both management and donors.

Maintain adherence to donor guidelines, internal policies, and applicable regulatory mandates to ensure full compliance at all times.

Analyze potential risks associated with program execution and propose effective mitigation measures to ensure successful implementation.

Assist in the preparation of proposals and concept notes as needed.

Design and implement training programs, workshops, and community engagement initiatives to foster skill development and public participation.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a comparable role, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are required to effectively address challenges and contribute to team objectives. Knowledge of best practices in [specific industry/field, if applicable] is highly desirable.

A bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, Public Administration, or an equivalent field is required.

Requires 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in program or project coordination roles, specifically within nongovernmental or development-focused organizations.

Experts in project management and organization are essential for this role.

Proficiency in managing donor-funded initiatives is highly desirable.

Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication is essential.

Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Demonstrated capacity for autonomous and collaborative work in team settings.

Analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities are highly developed.
