Job Summary
The Programs Intern will deliver comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to the Programs Team, contributing to the effective execution of NGO initiatives. Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maintaining high standards of performance. Contribute to the development and execution of program activities by providing essential support throughout the planning and implementation phases.
Assist with gathering, inputting, and evaluating data for current initiatives to ensure accuracy and relevance throughout project phases.
Prepare reports, presentations, and program documentation as needed.
Collaborate in the planning and execution of training sessions, workshops, and community engagement initiatives to enhance organizational and educational objectives.
Prepare foundational research and synthesize background data to support proposal development.
Facilitate field visits and beneficiary engagement as needed.
Execute a broad range of administrative functions in support of the Programs Team.
Ensure the accurate organization and upkeep of all program files and records to facilitate efficient retrieval and compliance with established protocols.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or counseling, along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a related role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients. Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and a deep understanding of ethical guidelines in professional settings. Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools to assess client needs and measure outcomes. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry best practices.
A degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a closely related field, either at the undergraduate level or as a recent graduate, is required.
