About the Role
We are in search of a proficient and safety-oriented Driller to join our team.
The preferred candidate possesses practical expertise operating contemporary drilling rigs, a comprehensive grasp of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems, and precise joystick control for rig operations at the work site.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties, including the execution of day-to-day operational tasks, meticulous project management, and the effective coordination of team efforts to ensure successful project completion. Provide strategic leadership by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress through regular evaluations, and offering constructive feedback to foster professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align initiatives with organizational goals, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and quality standards while maintaining rigorous attention to detail in all deliverables. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries promptly and facilitating transparent communication to build trust and alignment.
Operate and maintain rotary and joystick drilling rigs to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations. Perform regular inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan. Follow operational protocols, adhere to safety standards, and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities. Collaborate with the drilling team to optimize rig performance and address any operational challenges promptly.
Operates control rigs utilizing joystick interfaces and computerized control panels to execute designated functions.
Operate and maintain Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems to ensure efficient and reliable motor control in industrial applications.
Execute the installation of casings, liners, screens, and completion equipment as part of well construction and completion operations.
The operation of TLC is currently in need of capable leadership to ensure seamless execution and optimal performance. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record in managing operational workflows, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, team coordination, and strategic planning. Responsibilities include overseeing daily activities, maintaining high standards of service quality, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity. Additionally, the role requires adept problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward achieving organizational objectives.
Demonstrate adherence to all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
Compile daily field reports and update equipment logs to ensure accurate documentation of operations and maintenance activities.
Requirements
With a minimum of five to seven years of demonstrated expertise in drilling operations, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of practical knowledge and hands-on experience to the role.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline is required.
Proven ability to operate Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and conduct fundamental fault diagnosis.
Proven expertise in operating joystick-controlled drilling rigs is essential.
Certification as a rig operator or equivalent credentials is required for this role.
