Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day management of library functions, including circulation processes and patron services, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
The individual will be responsible for organizing, categorizing, classifying, and arranging materials to uphold the established order of the collection.
Process incoming materials, perform necessary repairs, complete binding tasks, and maintain accurate records of book statuses.
Responsibilities include entering patron and title information into the system, organizing incoming mail, and participating in scheduled staff meetings to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient operations.
Maintain collections and provide support to library programs.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of industry experience. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required, and familiarity with regulatory standards is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively in a team environment.
A relevant academic qualification such as an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Library Science, History, or a closely aligned discipline is required.
Proficiency in both written and verbal English, a keen eye for detail, and strong organizational abilities are essential.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to quickly adapt to and utilize computer-integrated Library Systems.
Proficiency in a library or academic setting would be considered beneficial.
