Job Summary

We are in search of a seasoned, dependable, and self-reliant Live-In House Manager/Cook to supervise the daily operations of a private residence.

Manage a team of housekeeping staff, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and addressing any concerns. Handle procurement of supplies and household items, maintaining inventory and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions. Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols throughout the residence. Provide training and support to staff to enhance their skills and productivity. Coordinate with external service providers, such as gardeners, cleaners, and contractors, to fulfill domestic needs. Maintain accurate records of expenses, schedules, and staff activities for accountability and reporting purposes.

Oversee and manage the workflow of other household employees as required.

Requirements

A minimum of an SSC certification is required.

Experienced professionals with a background in House Manager, Housekeeper, Cook, or comparable positions are encouraged to apply.

Skilled in crafting an extensive variety of Nigerian dishes as well as foundational continental cuisine.

Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are essential. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or GCP, and knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases are also preferred.

Holding qualifications or experience in hospitality, catering, or housekeeping would be beneficial.

A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience is required for this position.
