The Distribution Driver ensures the secure, punctual, and efficient transportation and delivery of inventory to specified destinations.
This position demands meticulous compliance with delivery timelines, inventory management protocols, and road safety laws to enhance the effectiveness of logistics and operational workflows.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational oversight to ensure organizational objectives are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional collaboration, fostering alignment between departments to drive efficiency and innovation. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth, risk mitigation, and sustainable development. Lead initiatives that optimize resource allocation, budget management, and stakeholder engagement to support long-term success. Responsible for the secure and efficient transportation and distribution of inventory to designated destinations.
Responsibilities include meticulously loading and unloading inventory to safeguard items against damage during handling.
Review and confirm inventory quantities by cross-referencing them with the corresponding delivery notes and waybill documentation.
Perform comprehensive daily vehicle inspections, identifying any maintenance requirements or safety concerns, and ensure they are documented and reported without delay.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is consistently kept in a clean and roadworthy condition at all times.
Efficiently plan and manage delivery routes while strictly adhering to established schedules, adapting dynamically to operational needs as they arise.
Ensure strict adherence to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at every moment.
Provide support to warehouse personnel as needed during loading, unloading, and inventory transfer procedures.
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in project management software is required, along with strong communication and organizational skills. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. The role involves overseeing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance is essential.

A valid driver’s license is required.
Professionals must have at least three years of prior driving experience to be considered for this role.
Capable of operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles competently.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of the road networks in Calabar, including their layouts, traffic patterns, and key landmarks.
Interpret traffic signs and navigate roadways effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and optimal traffic flow management.
Maintaining strong connections with clients is essential to ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term loyalty. This role requires a commitment to understanding customer needs, addressing concerns promptly, and delivering exceptional service.
