Action Against Hunger Nigeria (ACF Nigeria) LTD/LTE is a global nonprofit dedicated to addressing the root causes and consequences of hunger across more than 50 countries, with a significant presence in Nigeria. Since its establishment in 2010, the organization has been actively mitigating chronic food insecurity and malnutrition in Northeast Nigeria, addressing a pressing humanitarian crisis driven by factors such as insecurity, forced displacement, natural disasters, climate change, and economic instability.

ACF Nigeria, in collaboration with partners BO WDI, YIP DI, Save the Children (SC), and EYE, has been executing the Empowering and Nurturing Resilience, Integration, and Community Health in Nigeria (ENRICH) program, funded by the U.S. Department of State. Over the past 24 months, this initiative has delivered critical lifesaving and recovery support to vulnerable communities across Born State—specifically within Rubio, Maguire, Mobber, and Saga Local Government Areas—positively impacting approximately 714,045 individuals.

The primary goals of the projects encompass a comprehensive range of deliverables, aiming to achieve measurable outcomes aligned with strategic initiatives. Key objectives include advancing innovation, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering sustainable growth through collaborative efforts and meticulous execution.

Enhanced health and nutrition services are implemented to lower rates of illness and death, fostering overall community well-being.

Strengthening household food security entails delivering unconditional food or cash assistance to populations impacted by conflict, both during lean and off-lean seasons.

Integrated WASH interventions are implemented to strengthen household, community, and systems resilience against shocks in Born.

Enhanced protection services are made available to impacted communities, fostering local resilience.

By leveraging its multi-sectoral strategies, ACF and its partners are improving food security, access to better health and nutrition services, and building resilience among vulnerable populations. ACF ultimate goal is to increase nutrition security, reduce mortality and morbidity especially amongst children under age five, and empower communities to thrive

After 20 months of implementation of this project, ACF Nigeria seeks to produce a documentary to showcase the progress and impact it has made on communities in the target locations in Borno state under the ENRICH project.
