Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver performs route-based deliveries by transporting and distributing the company’s gas products directly to customers as scheduled.
Oversee a diverse range of critical duties, including the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, the management of cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and high performance, and the implementation of innovative solutions to address complex business challenges. Additionally, monitor key performance indicators to assess operational effectiveness, prepare comprehensive reports to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders, and adhere to rigorous compliance standards to uphold industry regulations and ethical practices. This role demands a proactive approach, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in all operational processes.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of gas products to customers while fostering and sustaining exceptional customer relationships.
Deliver comprehensive product expertise and address technical queries from customers promptly and effectively as required.
Drive the delivery van to transport products punctually while ensuring the vehicle remains clean, well-maintained, and fully operational.
Assist operators in the loading of gas cylinders onto vehicles to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
Oversee the van inventory, perform daily stock reconciliation, and document any discrepancies that arise.
Ensure precise documentation of sales transactions, customer engagements, and delivery records.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with at least three years of relevant professional experience. A strong grasp of industry standards, regulations, and best practices is essential. Proficiency in specific software tools, methodologies, or technologies is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. Additionally, strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are critical for success in this role. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is highly valued.
A minimum of one to two years of professional experience in delivery or driving roles is required.
A valid driver’s license accompanied by an unblemished driving history is required.
Proficient in operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, with a particular emphasis on mini buses and vans.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence through meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to assigned tasks. Exhibits a proactive approach in fulfilling responsibilities while maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability in all endeavors.
Proficiency in navigating the extensive road networks and strategic distribution hubs across Lagos are essential.
