Job Summary
We are currently recruiting a seasoned and proficient Data Science Trainer to temporarily join our team in a maternity cover capacity.
This is an urgent requirement for a professional who is passionate about data science and enjoys imparting knowledge to learners.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties crucial to the role, including managing daily operations, driving project outcomes, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Liaise with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration, identify process improvements, and enhance overall efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives, while monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Serve as a key stakeholder in decision-making processes, providing expert insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Conduct regular evaluations of team and individual performance to maintain high productivity and accountability. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal guidelines to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity. Foster a culture of innovation, professional growth, and accountability within the team.
Conduct interactive and hands-on training sessions focused on Data Science and its adjacent disciplines.
Create and revise training materials, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure they remain current and effective.
Offer guidance and encouragement to learners at every stage of their educational path.
Assess learner achievements and deliver insightful, actionable feedback to support their development and growth.
Monitor developments in industry trends, methodologies, and optimal approaches within the field of Data Science on an ongoing basis.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to guarantee the fulfillment of training objectives.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
Professional certifications pertinent to Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or other closely related fields will be highly valued.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting and facilitating training sessions focused on Data Science.
Proficient in statistical analysis, data visualization techniques, and machine learning methodologies, with a solid grasp of their underlying principles.
Proficient in delivering compelling presentations, engaging in clear communication, and effectively facilitating discussions.
Proficiency with widely adopted tools including Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable software is required.
Preferred Qualifications: A proven track record in project management, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, is essential. Proficiency in relevant software tools and methodologies is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment is critical. Prior experience in a similar role within the industry is highly desirable, as is a commitment to continuous professional development.
Experienced professionals in Data Science or Analytics with practical industry background are required.
Proven skill in breaking down intricate technical information into clear, accessible explanations tailored to diverse audiences.
Proven expertise in designing educational programs and evaluating learner performance is required.
