Costar chem Nigeria Limited is in search of a dynamic and technically proficient Civil Engineer to bolster its Sales Department and facilitate business expansion.

The successful applicant will blend technical proficiency in construction chemical products with a strong commercial mindset, delivering in-house support, compiling quotations, enhancing product understanding, and aiding overall sales effectiveness.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties essential to the role, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Perform critical analysis to identify process improvements, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to established policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams to facilitate transparent communication and alignment of goals. Develop and implement innovative solutions to address challenges, optimize performance, and support sustainable growth initiatives.

Serve as an intermediate professional in project management and construction operations, contributing expertise to oversee and coordinate key initiatives in the field.

Prepare precise and promptly delivered sales quotations in response to customer inquiries.

Provide in-house technical assistance by resolving customer and internal inquiries regarding product utilization and proper application methods.

Deliver expert recommendations regarding the selection and utilization of construction chemical products, including admixtures, waterproofing solutions, sealants, flooring systems, and related materials.

We are responsible for planning and executing technical webinars, training programs, and product presentations tailored specifically for engineers and key stakeholders within the built environment.

Provide technical assistance to the sales team during client engagements, site visits, and other collaborative interactions.

Conduct comprehensive analyses of sales performance metrics, product utilization patterns, and evolving market trends to extract actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.

Monitor and communicate product developments, encompassing both the launch of new offerings and enhancements to existing ones.

Partner with marketing and sales teams to enhance product visibility and expand market reach.

Facilitate the attainment of designated sales targets and business development objectives through proactive engagement and strategic execution.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Minimum of three years of experience in IT support or a similar role is essential. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues is necessary. Strong communication skills for interacting with users and explaining technical concepts are mandatory. Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems is preferred. Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira is advantageous. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines is crucial. Customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving is highly valued.

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Chemistry, or closely aligned disciplines is required for this position.

Minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in a related field is required.

Experience withconstruction chemicals, project management, building materials, or related technical sales roles is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of construction chemical applications and site practices

Experience in preparing quotations and handling customer technical inquiries

Demonstrates strong expertise in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel for data analysis.

Strong communication abilities are essential, with a particular emphasis on delivering effective presentations and facilitating training sessions or webinars.

Proficiency in the key industry participants, including Sika, Nostoc, BASF, Chris, and others, is considered beneficial.
