Role Description
This full-time, on-site position in Lagos requires overseeing daily manufacturing operations for paper packaging production as a Factory Supervisor and Saline Expert. Responsibilities include supervising production lines, managing workflow efficiency, and enforcing strict safety and hygiene protocols throughout the facility.
The Factory Supervisor/Saline Expert will oversee saline and die-cut layout operations, enhance machine configurations, and collaborate with design and production teams to deliver precise and efficient packaging solutions.
The role entails organizing and overseeing production schedules, tracking material consumption, reducing excess waste, and verifying that all products adhere to established quality and specification standards.
This position entails providing leadership and mentorship to production staff, managing production records and reports, and partnering with maintenance and operations teams to address challenges and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in Production Planning and Production Management to develop, organize, and direct comprehensive manufacturing operations from start to finish.
Demonstrated expertise in Quality Control processes to verify that completed paper packaging adheres to technical specifications, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
Seasoned professional with a strong background in Operations and Manufacturing Management, specializing in streamlining factory workflows, minimizing operational disruptions, and enhancing overall productivity.
Proven proficiency in saline design, die-cut layouts, and converting processes for paper-based packaging, complemented by hands-on experience with the relevant machinery.
With a demonstrated track record in leadership roles within manufacturing or packaging settings—ideally within paper packaging or closely related sectors—candidates are expected to bring relevant hands-on experience.
Proven ability to analyze complex situations, make sound decisions, and maintain structured workflows while effectively leading and inspiring cross-functional production teams.
Proficient in adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations within manufacturing environments, demonstrating a strong dedication to sustainable operational practices.
A degree or diploma in a pertinent technical or engineering discipline—such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering—or equivalent hands-on industry expertise is required.
