Safely and efficiently operate both diesel and petrol generators to ensure reliable performance.
Evaluate generator functionality and uphold an uninterrupted power supply to maintain operational efficiency at all times.
Perform regular inspections and carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
Diligently track fuel, oil, coolant, and battery levels to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues.
Maintain precise documentation of generator operations, fuel usage, and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Proactively detect and document any mechanical or electrical malfunctions without delay.
Collaborate with technical personnel to facilitate repairs and execute major maintenance initiatives.
Maintain adherence to established safety protocols and operational standards to ensure a secure and efficient working environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the generator room and its adjacent areas.
Act quickly to address power outages and equipment emergencies as they arise.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years in a comparable role, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in project management. Minimum educational requirement includes a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or an equivalent technical qualification.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with industrial or commercial generator operations is required.
Possesses fundamental understanding of generator upkeep and diagnostic procedures.
Proficient in diagnosing technical challenges and communicating them in a clear, concise manner for prompt resolution.
Possesses a solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including their principles, components, and interactions. Demonstrates proficiency in applying this understanding analyzing, troubleshoot, and maintain complex systems effectively.
Maintains meticulous attention to detail and prioritizes safety at all times.
Proven capacity to manage responsibilities autonomously with minimal oversight.
Residing within Secular or its adjacent neighborhoods is a prerequisite for this position.
