We are in search of a seasoned Sales Representative with an extensive network in the poultry sector. The preferred candidate possesses well-established relationships with poultry farmers, farm owners, cooperatives, and agricultural associations and demonstrates a proven ability to secure sales orders for poultry feed, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and additional farm supplies.
This position demands a results-oriented approach, with a primary focus on customer acquisition, fostering recurring monthly orders, and expanding Agrofount’s influence across the poultry farming sector.
Oversee and execute critical duties including leading project planning phases, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor progress through established metrics. Facilitate regular status updates with stakeholders, address potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to sustain project momentum. Collaborate with senior leadership to align project objectives with organizational goals, drive process improvements, and uphold compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Develop and finalize sales opportunities targeting poultry farmers and poultry-related enterprises.
Foster enduring partnerships with commercial poultry producers as well as smallholder farmers in the poultry sector.
Responsibilities include procuring monthly orders of day-old chicks, feed, medications, vaccines, and other essential farm supplies from customers.
Proactively identify and integrate new poultry farms into the Profound platform.
Perform on-site farm evaluations, showcase product functionalities, and engage with customers through meetings to address their needs and inquiries.
Collaborate effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams to guarantee the punctual completion of orders.
Monitor sales performance, analyze customer feedback, and gather market intelligence.
Drive monthly sales and revenue figures beyond established targets consistently.
Cultivate and nurture strategic alliances with poultry associations, cooperatives, and farm clusters to drive collaborative growth and innovation.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in poultry sales, agricultural sales, or livestock-related business development.
Established and extensive network of poultry farmers and farm operators in the industry.
Consistently achieves or surpasses established sales quotas with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and deliver measurable results.
Proficient knowledge of poultry production systems, nutritional feed requirements, veterinary health products, and overall farm management practices.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, enabling effective communication and the cultivation of productive professional relationships.
Demonstrated capability for autonomous work with regular travel to rural and agricultural settings.
Preferred experience includes selling feed, veterinary products, vaccines, farm equipment, or agricultural inputs.
