The preferred candidate will possess established relationships with poultry farmers, farm owners, cooperatives, and agricultural associations, demonstrating the ability to secure consistent sales orders for poultry feed, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and other essential farm supplies.
This position prioritizes performance metrics, with a primary focus on securing new customers, establishing steady monthly recurring orders, and expanding Agrofount’s footprint in the poultry farming sector.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision and efficiency. Monitor progress toward key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resources, streamline workflows, and foster innovation. Maintain rigorous compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while upholding high standards of accountability and professionalism. Develop and finalize sales opportunities targeting poultry farmers and poultry-related enterprises.
Establish and nurture robust connections with commercial poultry producers as well as smallholder poultry farmers.
Procure monthly orders of day-old chicks, feed, medications, vaccines, and other essential farm inputs for customers to ensure timely delivery and optimal availability.
Responsibilities include identifying and integrating new poultry farms into the Profound platform.
Perform on-site farm evaluations, deliver engaging product demonstrations, and facilitate client consultations to enhance agricultural productivity and satisfaction.
Collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee the punctual execution of orders.
Monitor sales performance, gather customer feedback, and analyze market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
Exceed monthly sales and revenue targets consistently while driving performance beyond established benchmarks.
Cultivate strategic alliances with poultry associations, cooperatives, and farm clusters to drive collaborative initiatives and shared objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, along with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required, as is the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with current trends and best practices in the field is highly desirable. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are non-negotiable.
A minimum of three years’ experience in poultry sales, agricultural sales, or livestock-related business development is required.
Established connections with a wide array of poultry farmers and farm operators across the industry.
Achieved consistent success in surpassing established sales quotas with measurable results.
Proficiency in poultry production systems, nutritional needs, veterinary products, and farm management practices is essential.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, negotiate skillfully, and manage relationships with professionalism and diplomacy.
The role requires the capacity to operate autonomously while making regular visits to farms and agricultural regions.
Experience in the sale of feed, veterinary products, vaccines, farm equipment, or agricultural inputs is strongly preferred.
