A highly qualified and dedicated CRS & History Teacher, committed to fostering student growth, is sought to join our secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will design and deliver dynamic lessons in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History, while nurturing students’ intellectual, ethical, and personal development.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Lead key projects, fostering collaboration across teams to drive efficiency and innovation. Monitor performance metrics to assess progress, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategic solutions. Manage stakeholder relationships, maintaining clear communication to ensure transparency and accountability. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to uphold compliance and mitigate risks. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Deliver instructional sessions in strict adherence to authorized teaching frameworks, lesson plans, and institutional guidelines.

Utilize dynamic, student-focused instructional strategies to deliver Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History lessons with excellence, ensuring high levels of student engagement and comprehension.

Develop comprehensive lesson notes, assignments, projects, class activities, tests, and examination materials that comply with established curriculum standards.

Evaluate students’ academic advancement and deliver constructive feedback regarding the efficacy and thoroughness of educational strategies and instructional approaches.

Assess students with special learning requirements and collaborate with the Remedial Teacher to design tailored support plans that address their unique needs.

Maintain order within the classroom environment, enforce approved disciplinary measures for minor infractions, and ensure any significant behavioral concerns are reported immediately to the Sectional Head.

Deliver compassionate pastoral care while fostering the holistic growth of students in their academic, moral, emotional, and social dimensions.

Accurately and promptly evaluate students’ assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.

Diligently track and provide regular updates regarding students’ progress in academics, behavior, and accomplishments.

Foster clear and consistent communication with parents or guardians to provide updates on students’ academic performance and overall well-being as needed.

Encourage students to embrace positive values, demonstrate ethical conduct, exhibit leadership qualities, and practice responsible citizenship.

Foster a positive impact on teamwork, collaboration, and the creation of a supportive school environment.

Engage proactively in staff meetings, school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular initiatives to contribute effectively to the school community.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) or Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A. Ed.) with a specialization in Christian Religious Studies, History, Religious Studies, Education Arts, or an equivalent field is required.

A valid TRCN certification is essential.

A minimum of four years of secondary school teaching experience is required.

Proficient in the CRS and History curriculum with a strong understanding of its core components and objectives.

Demonstrates exceptional ability to manage classroom dynamics and facilitate clear, effective communication with students and stakeholders.

Capable of motivating students both intellectually and ethically.

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Exhibits strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in managing tasks and priorities. Thrives in collaborative environments while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and ethical standards. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in all interactions. Requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with proficiency in industry-specific software and tools. Exhibits a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with evolving industry trends and best practices.
