Basic Function:
The ATO – Pharmacy is responsible for preparing medications by carefully reviewing and interpreting physician orders, then dispensing them through compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to foster alignment, streamline processes, and drive efficiency across all business functions. Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining strong relationships to support business growth. Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and professional development initiatives to enhance individual and collective performance. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements while upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and corporate governance.

Inspecting premises and activities in accordance with the Poisons and Pharmacists Act, the Dangerous Drugs Act, the Food and Drugs Decree, and all other relevant operational legislation is a core responsibility.
Responsibilities include accurately dispensing prescribed medications to both inpatients and outpatients while offering precise medication guidance.
Maintaining store operations and ensuring all pertinent store documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
Compounding medications on an as-needed basis, including solutions, topical preparations, ointments, and liquid formulations, is an essential responsibility of this role.
Delivers expert technical guidance and support to healthcare practitioners, ensuring accurate and insightful information is provided.
The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and managing the secure storage and distribution of all pharmaceuticals throughout the project lifecycle.
Conducting regular quality control audits on all available pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with established standards.
Ensures strict compliance with the applicable Code of Conduct and ethical standards.
Collaborates closely with technical support and monitoring and evaluation teams to gather relevant baseline data throughout the duration of the project.
Prepares and submits recurring reports in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all data is compiled systematically according to established protocols.
Maintains compliance with infection prevention and control standards at all times to ensure a safe environment.
Handles any additional tasks or responsibilities as directed by management.

Proven expertise in both written and verbal English and Hausa communication, encompassing presentation and training capabilities.
