The Partnerships Development & Fundraising Intern will assist Wale Lab in identifying strategic partners, sponsors, collaborators, and funding prospects that are aligned with our mission and programs.

Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance efficiency, compliance, and risk management across departments. Collaborate with senior leadership to align business strategies with long-term growth initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement in productivity and quality standards. Act as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to facilitate clear communication, streamline decision-making, and resolve cross-functional challenges effectively.
Conduct thorough research to identify partners, sponsors, donors, grant opportunities, and collaborators who align with the mission and strategic objectives of Wale Lab.
Facilitate outreach initiatives by drafting and distributing professional emails, engaging with prospects on LinkedIn, preparing comprehensive proposals, and conducting timely follow-ups to nurture relationships.
Assist in the development and refinement of partnership proposals, sponsorship presentations, and fundraising collateral to support organizational objectives.
Ensure meticulous documentation of outreach initiatives, partnership progress, and engagement developments in an orderly manner.
Facilitate ongoing engagement and collaboration with current and potential partners to strengthen mutual commitments and drive shared objectives.
Collaborate in the planning and execution of partnership meetings, webinars, events, and joint initiatives to foster collaboration and engagement.
Perform comprehensive background research on pertinent organizations to enhance outreach strategy and ensure strategic alignment.
Provide assistance in advancing fundraising campaigns and sustainability efforts for the projects and initiatives undertaken by Wale Lab.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. At least three years of experience in software development, system design, or a comparable technical role is necessary. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking are critical. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
