What you will do:
Manage and direct all front-of-house activities to guarantee flawless, premium service for every guest.
Direct and oversee the service team’s training, ensuring adherence to strict standards of conduct, presentation, and performance.
Oversee reservations, floor layouts, and guest movement with precision and professionalism.
Manage high-profile guest interactions, address complaints, and fulfill special requests with professionalism and confidentiality.
Collaborate seamlessly with the kitchen staff to uphold precise timing, maintain high plating standards, and ensure comprehensive menu knowledge is shared throughout the team.
Collaborate closely with the accountant to evaluate and enhance the restaurant’s financial performance, encompassing budget preparation, expense management, profit and loss monitoring, and revenue analysis.
Responsible for overseeing food and beverage expenditures, inventory levels, waste reduction, and supplier contract negotiations.
Oversee payroll processing, staff scheduling, and labor cost management to ensure alignment with established targets.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations consistently throughout all operations.
Prepare comprehensive reports on financial performance, staffing metrics, and operational priorities for review by ownership.
What we are looking for:
With a minimum of five years of experience in overseeing operations for a fine dining or upscale full-service establishment, applicants should possess direct familiarity with Lagos Island’s dining landscape.
Proficient in food, wine, and fine dining service standards, with extensive expertise and adherence to industry best practices.
Demonstrated expertise in assembling, guiding, motivating, and nurturing a high-performing professional service team.
Demonstrates exceptional financial proficiency, encompassing expertise in budgeting, cost control, and profit-and-loss analysis.
Exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrates a high level of precision in service delivery, presentation standards, guest interactions, and report generation.
Maintains composure during high-pressure situations and demonstrates strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experienced in utilizing restaurant point-of-sale systems and generating operational reports with precision and efficiency.
