The Warehouse Manager oversees all inventory and warehouse operations, maintaining precise inventory record-keeping, adhering to internal control policies, and leading warehouse staff effectively.

This position encompasses the creation and implementation of inventory control strategies, the management of stock reconciliation processes, the preparation of comprehensive inventory reports, and the delivery of data-driven insights to enhance financial and operational decision-making.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, compliance, and productivity. Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability to drive project success and meet key deliverables. Inventory Control & Financial Record Accuracy: Maintain precise inventory records and ensure financial data accuracy through systematic tracking and reconciliation processes. Verify stock levels, record transactions, and reconcile discrepancies to uphold compliance with accounting standards and operational efficiency. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and support cost-control initiatives while providing accurate financial reports for stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and internal control standards while managing all inbound logistics, storage, order picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processes.

Enforce the application of FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) methodologies, alongside systematic cycle counting, to uphold precise inventory valuation.

Responsibilities include overseeing weekly, monthly, and unannounced physical inventory counts, with a focus on ensuring prompt and precise reporting of stock balances.

You will oversee daily cycle count reconciliations and conduct comprehensive stock takes, analyzing variances and presenting discrepancies to the operation manager.

Crafting and managing documentation alongside overseeing transaction processing activities are essential responsibilities of this role, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient record-keeping.

Oversee the preparation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs), identify and document discrepancies, and implement inventory adjustments in accordance with the established approval hierarchy.

Ensure the meticulous documentation of all essential logs, including access records, goods receipts, dispatches, maintenance activities, and cycle counts, to uphold comprehensive audit trail integrity.

Ensure accurate documentation of stock items that are damaged, expired, or moving slowly to facilitate appropriate financial provisioning.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Design, implement, and oversee robust internal control frameworks to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency. Identify process inefficiencies through systematic analysis, propose and execute data-driven improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Develop and maintain clear policies and procedures to reinforce accountability and transparency across all business functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate best practices, drive continuous process optimization, and support organizational growth through strategic enhancements.

Enhance warehouse operations and workflows to boost inventory precision and overall productivity by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing systematic improvements.

Verify the precision of inventory records maintained within the ERP system while identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes.

Maintain unwavering integrity and perform effectively under tight deadlines, particularly during critical month-end and year-end stock count periods.

Collaborate with operations, sales, accounting, and other departments to help the company meet its financial objectives through efficient coordination.

A recognized Nigerian or international university must award a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional certification in supply chain management or inventory management is essential, examples of which include:

A minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in warehouse or inventory management, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role within Nigeria, is required.

Highly preferred candidates will possess prior experience within luxury retail settings or warehouses specializing in high-value goods, with a particular emphasis on cosmetics.

Demonstrated expertise in overseeing inventory control operations, executing cycle counting procedures, and conducting thorough stock reconciliation activities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize pivot tables, Lookups, and inventory analysis, is a required skill.

Demonstrates in-depth familiarity with Nigerian regulatory frameworks pertinent to warehousing operations, including compliance obligations imposed by entities such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for cosmetics and perfumes, and customs documentation protocols governing the clearance of imported luxury goods.

Proficient knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations, specifically those governing inventory write-offs, VAT on stock, and statutory audit obligations, is essential.
