Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Montessori Teacher to join our school in Ikorodu. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing and educating children in the Early Years and Primary sections using Montessori teaching methods. The candidate must possess strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for child development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Montessori-based lessons for Early Years and Primary pupils.
Create a safe, stimulating, and child-centered learning environment.
Assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ academic and behavioral progress.
Prepare teaching materials and classroom activities in line with the Montessori curriculum.
Encourage creativity, independence, and critical thinking among learners.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupils’ overall development.
Manage classroom behavior effectively and positively.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
Montessori training/certification is an added advantage.
Valid TRCN Certification is mandatory.
Minimum of 1–2 years teaching experience in Early Years and/or Primary classes.
Strong understanding of Montessori teaching principles and child development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good classroom management and organizational skills.
Must reside in Ikorodu or nearby areas.
