Basic Functions

The manager responsible for Aircraft Cabin and IFE Maintenance oversees the organization, implementation, and supervision of all maintenance tasks concerning aircraft cabin interiors and In-Flight Entertainment systems throughout Air Peace’s fleet. This role guarantees adherence to the utmost safety, reliability, passenger comfort, and regulatory compliance standards, aligning with guidelines set by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, other key regulatory bodies, and Air Peace’s internal procedures. The position directly reports to the Head of Maintenance.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. Minimum of five years of experience in a related field is required, alongside a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Responsibilities include managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to deadlines. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are also critical. Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of related experience. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Education: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree—or an equivalent qualification—in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Alternatively, a Diploma in Aviation Maintenance accompanied by ICAO Type II licenses will be considered for eligibility.

With a minimum of ten years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least five years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, with a specific focus on Cabin and IFE systems.

Seasoned professionals with extensive hands-on experience operating and maintaining both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, including but not limited to Boeing 737 and 777 models, are sought for this role.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License with an applicable category rating, preferably in Airframe and Avionics, is required.

IFE/Cabin systems training, particularly in systems from manufacturers such as Thales, Panasonic, or Collins Aerospace, is considered advantageous.

Technical Skills: Extensive expertise in cabin structures, materials, composites, and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) hardware/software systems, coupled with strong troubleshooting capabilities across electrical, electronic, and mechanical cabin systems.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The ability to perform effectively under pressure within a 24/7 aviation setting is also required.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties to ensure seamless operational performance, including strategic planning, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold organizational standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to maximize individual and collective output. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and generate actionable insights to drive data-informed decision-making and operational excellence. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and frontline staff, translating high-level objectives into actionable steps while ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.

As a leader in the Maintenance division, you will oversee the Cabin and IFE Maintenance teams, providing guidance, supervision, and professional development opportunities. Your role involves closely monitoring team performance to ensure the delivery of outstanding passenger experiences, achieved through the reliability of cabin systems and in-flight entertainment solutions.

Develop and oversee maintenance schedules for cabin interiors, including seats, galleys, lavatories, carpets, panels, lighting, and in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems such as screens, servers, wiring, software, and audio/video distribution. Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications in a timely manner. Uphold strict adherence to NCAA regulations, OEM manuals, Air Peace Maintenance Procedures, and international standards (e.g., EASA/FAA where applicable) to ensure compliance and safety. Maintain the airworthiness of all cabin and IFE components.

Quality Control involves overseeing inspections, audits, and evaluations of cabin and IFE maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with standards. This role includes overseeing defect resolution, diagnostic troubleshooting, and system testing to verify operational integrity.

Resource management responsibilities include overseeing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for cabin and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) maintenance. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with suppliers, internal workshops, and third-party Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers to coordinate repair and overhaul activities.

Prepare and oversee the departmental budget while ensuring stringent cost control measures. Analyze financial data to uncover potential savings without compromising safety or quality standards.

Ensure meticulous maintenance of accurate records, logbooks, and technical documentation. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on system reliability, recurring defects, and performance metrics to senior management.

Collaborate closely with the Head of Maintenance, Line/Maintenance Control, Base Maintenance, Technical Services, Planning, Flight Operations, and Cabin Crew to address issues and enhance passenger experience.

Identify training requirements and oversee the provision of necessary certifications and ongoing training for team members regarding cabin and in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems.
