The ideal educator will design and deliver dynamic lessons in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History while fostering students’ intellectual growth, ethical understanding, and personal character development.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with departmental goals, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and present data-driven insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to streamline communication and resolve complex challenges. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, ethical standards, and best practices while maintaining a focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility. Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation, reduce operational costs, and enhance productivity through process improvements and technological advancements.
Deliver instructional sessions and academic content in alignment with established teaching frameworks, prescribed lesson plans, and institutional regulations.
Deliver comprehensive instruction in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History through dynamic, student-focused teaching approaches to foster meaningful learning experiences.
Develop instructional materials, including lesson plans, assignments, projects, class activities, assessments, and examination resources, adhering strictly to established curriculum guidelines.
Monitor students’ academic advancement and evaluate the efficacy and thoroughness of instructional strategies and lesson plans, offering constructive feedback as needed.
Collaborate with the Remedial Teacher to identify students requiring specialized learning assistance and devise tailored support strategies to meet their unique needs.
Maintain classroom discipline by implementing approved disciplinary measures for minor infractions and ensuring prompt escalation of significant disciplinary matters to the Sectional Head.
Deliver compassionate pastoral care while nurturing students’ holistic growth—academically, morally, emotionally, and socially.
Accurately and promptly evaluate students’ assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.
Oversee and provide ongoing reports regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and accomplishments.
Maintain consistent and constructive communication with parents or guardians to ensure they are informed about their children’s progress and overall well-being as needed.
Foster an environment that instills positive values, ethical conduct, leadership qualities, and a sense of responsible citizenship within students.
Foster a collaborative and supportive school culture by actively engaging in teamwork and contributing positively to the overall environment.
Engage proactively in staff meetings, school events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular initiatives to foster collaboration and enhance overall school engagement.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Christian Religious Studies, History, Religious Studies, Education Arts, or a closely related field is required.
Requires a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification.
A minimum of four years of secondary school teaching experience is required.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the CRS and History curriculum.
Proven ability to effectively manage classrooms and facilitate clear, engaging communication with students.
Capable of motivating students both intellectually and ethically, fostering their academic growth and character development.
