Job Summary
Christian Medical Doctors specializing in gynecology are invited to apply for this position, which requires availability for shift-based work. Two physicians will alternate shifts under either a day-and-night schedule or a one-week-in, one-week-out rotation.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, troubleshoot challenges, and drive project milestones. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational workflows, optimize resource allocation, and measure performance outcomes. Monitor progress through regular assessments, providing timely feedback and implementing corrective measures as needed. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Clinical care responsibilities include delivering thorough outpatient consultations, overseeing antenatal and fertility clinic operations, and administering expert-level care for obstetric and gynecological conditions.
Perform or provide support in obstetric and gynecological surgeries independently, including Caesarean Sections (C-S), fibroid removal, ovarian cyst excision, appendectomies, and other relevant gynecological procedures.
Patient Management: Oversee daily ward rounds, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and uphold the provision of exceptional, patient-focused services.
Provide round-the-clock on-site medical assistance during designated shifts, demonstrating rapid and accurate response to obstetric emergencies.
Maintain precise medical records, support clinical audits, and work closely with nursing and laboratory teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
Responding to patients’ medical concerns involves reviewing their medical history, conducting thorough diagnoses, administering appropriate treatments, providing counseling, and, when warranted, facilitating referrals.
Responsibilities include ordering laboratory tests and analyzing the resulting data to derive meaningful clinical insights.
Upholding strict confidentiality and demonstrating unwavering impartiality in all circumstances are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities include gathering, documenting, and safeguarding confidential patient data, such as examination findings, past medical records, and official reports.
Deliver comprehensive obstetric care by facilitating childbirth, conduct necessary surgical procedures for patients in need, and perform regular clinical ward rounds to ensure patient well-being.
Providing clear, detailed explanations of medical procedures and prescribed treatments to patients.
Engaging with healthcare providers in both community settings and hospital environments to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
In collaboration with healthcare professionals, you will deliver health education initiatives to enhance public well-being.
Ensuring compliance with the hospital’s established benchmarks for patient satisfaction is a key responsibility of this role.
Engaging in thorough assessments and dialogues regarding innovative pharmaceutical products with company representatives.
Staying current with advancements in medical research, emerging treatments, and evolving medication protocols is essential.
The team is tasked with evaluating and monitoring the performance of trainee physicians, nurses, and medical students to ensure competency and adherence to professional standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor junior developers. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Hold an accredited Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and possession of a valid practicing license are mandatory requirements for this position.
Mandatory prerequisite: Demonstrated commitment to the fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
