Job Summary

Christian Medical Doctors specializing in gynecology are invited to apply for this position, which requires availability for shift-based work. The schedule involves two physicians alternating shifts, structured either as day and night rotations or a one-week-on, one-week-off arrangement. Candidates should possess the necessary qualifications and experience in gynecology to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

Responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately while maintaining high standards of quality. Accountable for managing a team, delegating responsibilities, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve organizational goals. Required to develop and implement strategic plans, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness. Must possess strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in relevant software and tools. Additionally, tasked with ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols while maintaining open communication with stakeholders and senior management.

Clinical Care responsibilities include performing thorough outpatient consultations, overseeing antenatal and fertility clinic operations, and delivering expert-level care for obstetric and gynecological cases.

Independently conduct or support obstetric and gynecological surgeries, such as Caesarean Sections (C-sections), fibroid removal, ovarian cyst excision, appendectomies, and other related gynecological operations.

Patient Management: Oversee daily ward rounds, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and uphold the provision of exceptional, patient-focused services.

Offer comprehensive 24/7 on-site medical assistance throughout assigned shifts, specializing in rapid, accurate responses to obstetric emergencies.

Maintain precise medical records and engage in clinical audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. Collaborate closely with nursing and laboratory teams to enhance patient care and support optimal clinical outcomes.

Evaluating patients’ medical concerns involves reviewing their histories, conducting thorough diagnoses, administering treatments, providing counseling, and facilitating referrals when appropriate.

Responsibilities include ordering laboratory tests and analyzing the resulting data to derive meaningful insights.

Ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and maintaining an unbiased approach in all professional interactions and decisions.

Responsibilities include gathering, documenting, and safeguarding confidential patient data, such as examination findings, medical records, and clinical reports.

Expertly deliver obstetric care during childbirth, conduct surgical procedures for patients with specific medical needs, and carry out regular clinical ward rounds to monitor patient progress and ensure comprehensive treatment.

The professional must effectively communicate medical procedures and prescribed treatments to patients in a clear and comprehensible manner. This involves providing detailed explanations of each step in the process, ensuring patients fully understand the purpose and expectations of their prescribed care.

Establishing and maintaining effective communication and collaboration with healthcare providers in both community settings and hospital environments.

Facilitating health education initiatives in collaboration with healthcare professionals to enhance public health awareness and outcomes.

Ensuring adherence to the hospital-established benchmarks for patient satisfaction ratings is a key responsibility.

Engaging in thorough assessments and discussions regarding innovative pharmaceutical products with medical sales representatives.

Staying informed about the latest advancements, emerging treatments, and innovative medications in the medical field is essential.

Evaluating the performance of resident physicians, nursing staff, and medical students constitutes a core responsibility of this role.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, preferably within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are also necessary to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

Hold an MBBS degree from a recognized, accredited medical institution.

Full registration with a current practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) is required for this role.

Proven experience or a strong interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology is an essential requirement for this position.
