Job Purpose

The Lead Consultant Pathologist will oversee all diagnostic pathology services at ACE, providing expert leadership and guidance to ensure precise and timely diagnoses from laboratory specimens such as tissue samples, blood, and other bodily fluids. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, patient-focused care while supervising pathologists and laboratory personnel. Additionally, the position ensures adherence to quality standards, fosters innovation in diagnostic approaches, and drives advancements in methodology.

Oversee and manage key accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention while driving revenue growth. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-value clients by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions. Lead cross-functional teams to align resources and meet strategic objectives, ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives. Monitor account performance, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize client outcomes and business expansion. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance service delivery, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Work alongside oncologists, surgeons, physicians, and other specialists to facilitate comprehensive, multidisciplinary care planning.

Develop and uphold optimal protocols and standard operating procedures within the pathology department to ensure consistency and efficiency in all operations.

Quality Assurance and Compliance professionals are responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal policies across organizational operations. Their role encompasses monitoring processes, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate non-compliance issues. Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or accounting, coupled with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting is essential, along with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders. Familiarity with industry-standard software, including Excel and ERP systems, is required, and prior experience in a leadership capacity is highly preferred.

Holders of a medical degree, specifically an MBBS or its equivalent, from an accredited institution are required.

Requires board certification in Pathology along with a current, valid medical license to practice within Nigeria.

Postdoctoral education in pathology or a comparable field is highly desirable.

Seeking a candidate with at least a decade of post-fellowship experience in diagnostic pathology, complemented by extensive subspecialty exposure.

Proficiency in histopathology, cytopathologic, and molecular pathology is required.
