Efficiently coordinates all mechanical maintenance execution activities within designated plant areas to ensure seamless operations.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accountability across all departments. Serve as the primary liaison between senior management and operational teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment of goals. Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring staff, delegating responsibilities, and promoting professional growth opportunities. Conduct regular performance assessments, identify training needs, and implement corrective actions to maintain high standards of quality and compliance. Prepare detailed reports, analyze key performance indicators, and present actionable insights to stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Oversee the completion of maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment within the facility, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of progress and outcomes to the Sectional Engineer.
Establishes and adheres to standardized operational methodologies within the relevant discipline by creating and enforcing clear procedures, ensuring their consistent application across all workflows.
Ensures meticulous planning and allocation of work and resources, implementing assigned tasks within the CMMS or as directed by the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, and subsequently closing them out in SAP.
He oversees the objectives and missions of his assigned team while conducting their performance evaluations, ensuring the quality of work at the site remains high and actively fostering team motivation.
Ensures that all subordinates adhere strictly to established safety rules and regulations within the work areas.
The role involves coordinating with planners on a weekly, monthly, and shutdown basis to align maintenance tasks with production requirements.
Monitor and validate the spare parts inventory in collaboration with the planning team to ensure accuracy and completeness of the documentation.
The incumbent ensures consistent availability and administration of tools essential for daily task execution, in accordance with established departmental procedures.
Conduct thorough investigations into the underlying causes of critical failures that occur within the plant.
Adheres to established policies in all daily operations, participates consistently in departmental meetings, enforces management directives among team members, and reports key outcomes to the senior mechanical manager.
The incumbent remains abreast of all standard plant procedures to effectively fulfill on-call responsibilities.
Ensure all permits, assessments, and audit-related documentation is properly documented and filed for tracking purposes and performance measurement.
Education
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Experience:
With a minimum of five years of practical involvement in a process industry environment, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of relevant expertise to the role.
A comprehensive and detailed grasp of the operational principles and intricacies of mechanical systems is essential.
Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues within hydraulic systems with precision. Demonstrates exceptional ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Proficient in written and verbal communication, with a strong command of English. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling the identification of complex issues and the development of innovative solutions. Experience with [specific software/tools, if applicable, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, data analysis tools]. Familiarity with [relevant industry standards, regulations, or frameworks, if applicable]. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in a range of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards is required.
Possesses in-depth familiarity with essential plant machinery and operational workflows, along with expertise in Critical Path Analysis methodologies.
Proficiency in Failure Root Cause Analysis methodologies is required.
An understanding of welding standards and techniques, along with hands-on experience in operating welding equipment, is required.
Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic conventions.
