Primary accountabilities include developing and executing strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Skilled professionals will engage in discussions to secure transportation assignments for designated vehicles, ensuring they reach selected destinations reliably and efficiently.

Ensure that drivers transport the specified quantity of clients’ products to the designated locations promptly and in accordance with the established timeframes.

Conduct a comprehensive and precise inventory check before assigning a truck to a driver or retrieving it from one.

Perform random asset inspections and conduct monthly accessory assessments, subsequently preparing and submitting detailed reports on all findings.

Monitor driver performance and act as the primary liaison in the event of any issues.

In collaboration with the tracking unit, ensure accurate monitoring of drivers during transit to guarantee timely and on-schedule delivery.

As the primary coordinator, you will oversee the scheduling, planning, cost estimation, and allocation of routes and vehicles, while ensuring sufficient adaptability to accommodate the dynamic and evolving demands of customers.

Ensure full compliance of all vehicles with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, promptly escalating any identified issues and proposing effective resolutions to the Operations Manager as needed.

Resolve any unexpected issues that arise during trips promptly and effectively, ensuring they are addressed with the appropriate solutions while capturing key insights to strengthen future trip planning and risk mitigation strategies.

Monitor driver conduct throughout each trip and promptly address any instances of non-compliance with established protocols.

Secure and uphold all necessary licensing, registrations, insurance policies, emblems, and permits for trucks. Address and resolve any issues arising from on-trip citations.

Ensure that all waybills and related loading documents are accurately filed and timely submitted to the accounts department.

Maintain meticulous documentation of vehicle inventories, delivery schedules, and fulfilled orders to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to detect any damages, dents, or other issues, and promptly report findings to the Operations Manager. Ensure the driver provides a detailed statement regarding the identified issues before finalizing the inspection report.

Prepare and submit comprehensive reports that accurately reflect pertinent information and findings.

Assigned responsibilities may vary and encompass additional duties as determined by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or a related field, along with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis software (such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau), and enterprise resource planning systems is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, as the role demands the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for executive stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline is mandatory, with professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or MBA) considered advantageous. Experience in the nonprofit or public sector is preferred, though candidates from other industries with transferable skills will be thoroughly evaluated. The position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

A recognized tertiary institution must confer a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

With a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in a comparable role, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in the field.

Proficiency in logistics or haulage operations is a mandatory requirement for this position.
