Job Summary

A distinguished legal organization seeks a Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of post-call experience. The preferred candidate will exhibit active involvement in fundamental litigation practice while showcasing exceptional professional judgment, unwavering integrity, and the capacity to operate autonomously within a dynamic legal setting.

Oversee critical operational duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and process optimization across departments. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to senior management to support informed decision-making. Foster a culture of accountability while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a liaison between executives, employees, and external stakeholders to align business goals with operational execution. Lead talent development programs to cultivate high-performing teams and succession planning for long-term growth.

Oversee litigation matters from initial stages through to final resolution, requiring minimal oversight.

Draft a variety of legal instruments, such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and formal written submissions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedural standards.

Perform comprehensive legal research and deliver well-reasoned legal opinions to support informed decision-making and strategic guidance.

Represent clients in judicial proceedings as needed, delivering advocacy with proficiency and professionalism.

Ensure thorough management of case files while maintaining accurate documentation and consistent follow-up procedures.

Collaborate with colleagues on intricate legal issues.

Ensure the confidentiality of all client and organizational data with the utmost diligence and professionalism. Handle sensitive information responsibly to protect privacy and uphold trust at all times.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable role are essential. Proficiency with industry-specific software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail. Leadership experience or the ability to guide cross-functional initiatives is highly preferred.

Earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree, providing a comprehensive foundation in legal principles, statutes, and case law.

Qualified to practice law in Nigeria with a minimum of two to three years of post-call experience.

Core experience in fundamental litigation practices is vital for this role.
