Main Accountabilities
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures, such as pipes, valves, fittings, and other related components, to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
To evaluate plumbing systems, identify problems, assess the extent of damage, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
Diagnose plumbing malfunctions and devise effective remedies, such as identifying and resolving leaks, obstructions, and related concerns.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications in order to strategically plan plumbing installations and repairs.
Conduct regular upkeep on plumbing systems, such as sanitizing, applying lubricants, and fine-tuning components to ensure optimal functionality.
Engage with clients to assess their plumbing requirements and preferences, offering tailored recommendations and detailed cost estimates for proposed services.
Work alongside various trades and contractors to synchronize plumbing installations and repairs within construction projects.
Ensure strict adherence to all applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards in every plumbing-related task performed.
Maintain precise documentation of all work activities, specifically detailing materials utilized, hours dedicated, and services rendered.
Plumbing tasks require the adept and secure operation of specialized tools and equipment, with strict adherence to established procedures and safety measures.
Handle emergency plumbing service requests promptly and deliver immediate solutions to meet client needs.
To remain current with evolving industry standards, best practices, and cutting-edge advancements in plumbing systems and methodologies, continuous professional development is essential.
Offer as-needed mentorship and instructional support to junior plumbers and apprentices to facilitate their skill development and professional growth.
