Job Description
A medical counselor will facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients, delivering comprehensive education on eye conditions, surgical interventions, and available treatment options to empower patients in making well-informed decisions regarding their care.
They address patient concerns, provide cost and insurance information, navigate individuals through hospital procedures, and confirm adherence to post-operative care instructions.

Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling is required.
With a minimum of three years of experience as a medical counselor—ideally within the ophthalmology sector—you will bring a strong foundation in patient support and specialized care. Your background will demonstrate expertise in guiding individuals through medical information, addressing their concerns with empathy, and facilitating informed decision-making in a clinical setting.
Exceptional proficiency in both verbal articulation and written expression is essential.
