SPIE Global Services Energy seeks to bolster its team in Nigeria by hiring a seasoned HVAC Senior Technician to enhance our offshore operations.

Key Responsibility:
The position primarily entails overseeing and executing the full cycle of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Additionally, the role demands active collaboration with cross-functional teams to align objectives, address challenges, and deliver measurable outcomes that contribute to organizational success. Furthermore, the individual will be responsible for monitoring progress through regular assessments, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate deviations from planned targets.

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of equipment and systems. Inspect machinery, identify defects or malfunctions, and execute necessary repairs promptly. Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement corrective measures to restore optimal performance. Document maintenance activities, track repair history, and maintain spare parts inventory as needed. Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

We perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems for control rooms, switchgear rooms, and other critical facilities to ensure optimal environmental conditions and system reliability.

Maintain positive pressure systems within control rooms in adherence to IEC Ex/ALEX standards to prevent the ingress of hydrocarbon gases.

Maintain and repair chillers, packaged units, air handling units (Thus), and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems in challenging saltwater environments prone to corrosion.

Monitor drilling and production operations continuously, remaining prepared to respond to any emergent situations or critical needs that may arise.

Our team is seeking a skilled professional to oversee the installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring all components are correctly assembled, configured, and tested to meet operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with system integration, troubleshooting technical issues, and verifying performance metrics during the commissioning phase. Responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, documenting installation procedures, and adhering to safety protocols while maintaining strict compliance with project timelines. Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, conducting final inspections, and providing post-commissioning support is essential. A background in [relevant industry, e.g., HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems] and familiarity with industry regulations are required. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are critical to successfully delivering projects.

Install new HVAC systems while ensuring proper installation and alignment of piping, ductwork, and electrical connections.

Systems must be commissioned, and performance testing completed prior to operational handover.

Responsible for analyzing and comprehending mechanical and electrical drawings, PIDs, and HVAC schematics to ensure accurate interpretation and application in relevant tasks.

HSE & Compliance professionals are responsible for ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as organizational policies and industry standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, performing inspections, investigating incidents, and providing training to employees on regulatory requirements. Additionally, they maintain documentation, track performance metrics, and report findings to senior management. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations. Proficiency in HSE software and excellent communication skills are also essential.

Ensure adherence to NU PRC safety regulations, ASHRAE standards, and the organization’s HSE policies to maintain operational integrity and regulatory compliance.

Perform thorough preparation by completing all necessary permits and procedures, including PTW, JSA, and LOT, prior to commencing any work on energized equipment.

Profile

Professional candidates must possess prior experience in offshore oil and gas production environments, with a preference for work on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FASO) units.

Requires a minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Must possess an accredited Ordinary National Diploma (OND) qualification or its equivalent. Alternatively, completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship or verified technician training program is required. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a minimum period of hands-on experience in the relevant field.

Capable of collaborating productively within a team setting.
