This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Portfolio Manager stationed in Lagos. In this role, the Senior Portfolio Manager will be responsible for constructing, managing, and optimizing investment portfolios spanning multiple asset classes, ensuring alignment with clients’ specified risk profiles and return objectives.
The position entails tracking market developments, conducting in-depth fundamental and quantitative evaluations, adjusting portfolio allocations, and executing trades in strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory mandates. Additionally, the role encompasses the creation and enhancement of investment frameworks, the preparation of strategic proposals, and the delivery of periodic performance reports along with insightful commentary to clients and key internal stakeholders.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will provide mentorship to junior team members, foster collaboration with research, sales, and risk teams, and engage in investment committee meetings to contribute to firm-wide portfolio decisions.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in portfolio and investment management, encompassing strategic asset allocation, meticulous security selection, and advanced portfolio optimization techniques.
Advanced analytical and research capabilities are essential, enabling the interpretation of macroeconomic trends, company fundamentals, and market data with precision and insight.
Skilled in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and the operation of portfolio management or analytics tools, including Excel and Bloomberg or equivalent systems.
