Partner with the Revenue Assurance Officer to pinpoint technical obstacles within the Remit system and deduction configurations that contribute to loan defaults.

Partner with the Revenue Assurance Officer to obtain up-to-date information on customer account statuses via Remit.

Conduct monthly credit reviews of delinquent loans to execute established action plans.

Conducting thorough reviews of credit accounts to address and recover overdue loans, ensuring compliance with established financial protocols and regulatory standards.

Initiate regular contact with delinquent customers via telephone, email, or in-person meetings to explore and propose viable repayment solutions.

Negotiate customized payment arrangements with debtors, carefully evaluating their financial circumstances to maximize recovery while ensuring mutually acceptable terms.

To pursue debtors who have become unreachable or have gone missing.

When required, coordinate with the legal department to commence legal actions aimed at debt recovery.

Prepare and submit weekly and monthly recovery progress reports and corresponding rates to the Risk department.

Assist the Head of Risk with additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a comparable position, preferably within a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in relevant software tools. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Prior experience leading cross-functional projects or managing teams will be considered advantageous.

Proficiency in the Tell-recovery methodology for loan recovery is a key prerequisite for this role.

Experience in a Microfinance Bank environment along with a thorough understanding of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) stipulated portfolio at risk ratio is essential.

Prior experience with core banking solutions is a mandatory requirement for this position.

The position demands proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, report writing, Power BI, and other numerical tools.

Outstanding proficiency in both verbal and written communication, along with strong presentation abilities, is essential.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong self-motivation and the capacity to function both autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.

Proven ability to analyze complex information and develop innovative solutions to challenging problems is essential. Strong aptitude for identifying patterns, evaluating data, and implementing effective strategies is required. Demonstrated capacity to assess situations critically and resolve issues efficiently is a must.
