Job Summary

Ensures all necessary services are provided to plants, including troubleshooting, electrical and automation requirements, as well as spare parts, to maintain continuous operation and enhance performance.

Oversee and execute key operational duties to ensure smooth business functioning, including project management, team coordination, and process optimization. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and drive organizational growth. Monitor progress, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to leadership to support informed decision-making. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and resolve operational challenges.

Perform regular condition monitoring on all automation equipment throughout the facility to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Regularly update and maintain backup files for all user programs associated with automation equipment throughout the facility.

Maintain up-to-date electrical documentation for all plant equipment on a regular basis to ensure its availability.

Perform systematic inspections of electrical control systems across all plant equipment to ensure operational integrity and compliance with safety standards.

Frequently compile inventories of essential automation spare parts to mitigate the risk of production line or utility stoppages.

Maintain strict adherence to the established maintenance program for all instrumentation and electronics.

Automation maintenance tasks, including scheduling and execution, must be performed regularly on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Enhance equipment productivity by adjusting specific operational functions to optimize performance and efficiency.

Perform calibration procedures for all electronic instruments throughout the facility to ensure precision and adherence to regulatory standards.

Perform routine inspections and upkeep on all specialized electronic equipment within the organization, including bottle inspectors, fill height detectors, mixers, ozone generators, coding machines, and other related devices.

Translate operational risks and required interventions to leadership with clarity and urgency to ensure equipment reliability is restored to optimal performance levels.

Annual maintenance and cleaning of all electronic and automation equipment will be performed as part of this role.

Perform routine cycle maintenance, cleaning, and inspections while fostering a culture of these practices within the SBC framework.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years’ experience in a comparable role, along with proficiency in relevant software and tools. The ideal applicant must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, and prior leadership experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are critical to success in this position. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards is also a prerequisite.

A Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is required.

Demonstrates 3 to 5 years of practical experience in FMCG operations, with a focus on electrical and automation systems, and possesses familiarity with bottling processes.

Accomplished leadership in guiding and overseeing teams, with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage personnel effectively. Demonstrated expertise in fostering a collaborative work environment, resolving conflicts, and aligning individual goals with organizational objectives. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to nurturing talent while driving performance and accountability.

Provide guidance and support to direct reports and colleagues, fostering their professional development and growth through mentorship and coaching techniques.

Skilled in cultivating and utilizing strategic partnerships to enhance performance outcomes.
