As a Senior Systems Developer, you will serve as a key hands-on contributor to the design and implementation of solutions, with a primary emphasis on our Microsoft Dynamics platform, ensuring its alignment with organizational objectives. You will assume the role of a technical authority within the ICT team, overseeing intricate development initiatives, guiding technical strategy, and maintaining rigorous standards for quality, security, and sustainability.

The Senior Systems Developer will oversee key operational and technical responsibilities, including:
Design, develop and maintain application and data integrations across Christian Aid’s systems using Microsoft technologies (including .NET, C, Power Automate, SSIS and APIs).
Maintain and enhance Christian Aid’s application and integration architecture while identifying opportunities to automate processes, thereby elevating reliability, performance, and data quality.
Develop and implement standardized best practices for seamless system and data integration across applications, leveraging critical thinking to enhance existing solutions.
Monitor integration workflows to identify errors and job failures, then resolve them promptly while implementing preventative measures to enhance system reliability and performance.
Investigating system and data-related issues, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and deploying corrective measures to avert future occurrences are key responsibilities.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external third-party suppliers to troubleshoot issues and ensure the delivery of superior integration results.
Deliver expert technical guidance and support to colleagues and project teams, leveraging specialized knowledge to enhance system design and ensure successful delivery.
Develop and sustain accurate technical documentation, ensuring seamless transfer of support to live service as needed.
About you
You will leverage significant hands-on expertise in designing and implementing solutions with Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform, reinforced by an appropriate professional qualification. Your background includes deep proficiency in Dynamics customization and extension, data modelling, integrations and APIs, and SQL Server, as well as a strong track record in modern software engineering methodologies such as source control, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD.
