The Role
The Analytics Head is responsible for overseeing MSI Nigeria’s data analytics and reporting operations, guaranteeing the delivery of high-caliber, prompt, and actionable insights to program, clinical, and organizational leadership.
This position establishes the analytical direction for the department, oversees reporting protocols, and cultivates the organization’s internal data literacy and analytical capacity.
The Analytics Head collaborates extensively with the Programs, Operations, M&E, MEL, Research, and Clinical Services teams to guarantee that analytical outputs from all decision-support systems meet the required standards, maintain precision, and align with strategic objectives.

Drive the enhancement of a data-driven culture at MSI Nigeria by identifying growth opportunities and spearheading initiatives through targeted training, advocacy efforts, and demonstrating exemplary practices.
Play a key role in shaping the department’s strategic planning initiatives and serve as the primary liaison for the analytics function at both departmental and Senior Management Team levels when necessary.
Provide analytical and data modelling support to the resource mobilization team, ensuring precise and prompt insights are delivered to strengthen all proposals and fundraising initiatives.

Maintain the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and prompt delivery of data as it moves from field data collection tools into reporting systems.

Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of relevant data pipelines to support clinical governance and service delivery channels reporting requirements.
Responsibilities include directing the administration and ongoing enhancement of MIS reporting tools utilized by program and clinical teams.
Develop and enforce robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Set and uphold analytical standards, naming conventions, and documentation for data dictionaries across critical datasets and reports to ensure consistency and clarity.

Ensure adherence to MSI data protection policies and responsible data principles in all analytical processes and deliverables.
Design and implement a robust version control and change management framework specifically for production dashboards and reports, ensuring consistent tracking and oversight of modifications.
Assist the Head of Department by identifying and reporting organizational data risks to ensure proactive risk management and compliance with relevant standards.
Data Privacy Governance involves establishing, maintaining, and enforcing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and safeguard sensitive information. This role requires a deep understanding of privacy frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global regulations, along with expertise in risk assessment, audit readiness, and incident response. Responsibilities include developing and implementing privacy policies, conducting data protection impact assessments, managing consent mechanisms, and overseeing cross-border data transfers. Acting as the central Data Privacy authority for MSI Nigeria, you will collaborate with information leads from every department to maintain uniform compliance with data privacy regulations.
Oversee and periodically assess MSI Nigeria’s data privacy policies to ensure compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) as well as MSI’s global standards.
Monitor developments in Nigerian and international data privacy regulations, providing strategic insights to the Head of Department and Senior Management Team regarding implications for MSI Nigeria’s operational practices.
Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments involves evaluating systems, processes, or projects to identify potential risks to personal data and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. This role requires a thorough analysis of data flows, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigation strategies to protect individual privacy. With a minimum of seven years of professional experience in data analysis, management information systems (MIS), or business intelligence, including at least three years in a leadership or senior-level position, you will bring proven expertise to this role.
