Job Summary

The Inventory Officer / Cost Controller will oversee stock movements, uphold inventory accuracy, manage cost controls, and ensure thorough documentation of all inventory-related transactions within the store.

Oversee and execute a range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Facilitate the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, while maintaining rigorous adherence to established policies and procedures. Monitor project milestones and deliverables, providing timely updates to stakeholders and addressing any deviations from expected outcomes. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement across departments. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance frameworks, mitigating risks and fostering a culture of accountability. Lead and mentor teams to achieve performance targets while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and operational excellence.

Daily oversight and tracking of inventory levels are essential responsibilities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of stock quantities.

Perform routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate stock records.

Accurately document and validate all incoming stock, inter-location transfers, and outgoing distributions to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with established protocols.

Examine inventory discrepancies and variances, then document and communicate findings accurately to relevant stakeholders.

Compile and present detailed inventory reports, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels and itemized cost analyses to facilitate informed decision-making and financial oversight.

To guarantee adherence to inventory management procedures and internal controls, maintain rigorous compliance standards throughout all operations.

Partner with procurement, operations, and management teams to ensure inventory levels remain balanced and efficient.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in engineering or computer science, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in software development or a closely related technical discipline. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, as is experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-driven environment are required. Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud computing platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.

Seeking a candidate with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, stock control, or cost control, ideally within the Food & Beverage sector.

Demonstrated expertise in leveraging Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management is required.

Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and numerical analysis is essential for this role.

Proven capability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Maintains the highest standards of integrity and accountability in all professional interactions and decisions.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, along with strong reporting capabilities to convey information accurately and concisely.
