Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of essential duties and responsibilities to ensure operational excellence and organizational success. Responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPNs to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Ensure reliable network connectivity throughout the head office, branch offices, data center, and for remote users.
Evaluate network performance metrics, including uptime, bandwidth utilization, and overall service availability to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Investigate and address network-related issues while delivering expert technical assistance to users.
Provide maintenance and operational support for servers, backup systems, email platforms, internet services, and core banking connectivity infrastructure.
Develop and deploy network security measures, including access controls, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
Oversee the upkeep of network documentation, asset inventories, IP registrations, software licenses, and configuration backups to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Engage in collaborative communication with internet service providers, suppliers, and IT service partners to ensure seamless operations and service alignment.
Requirements
A relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, evidenced by a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma, is required.
Relevant certifications, including CCNA, CCNP, Compton Network+, Security+, Fortinet, Azure, AWS, or ITIL, are advantageous.
Requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations.
Proficiency in banking, fintech, financial services, or a regulated industry is highly beneficial.
Proficient expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, network monitoring, cybersecurity protocols, and backup system management is required.
