The Machinery Maintenance Officer is tasked with overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment within MSHE Blocks and Machinery. The position emphasizes reducing downtime, enhancing equipment reliability, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities include overseeing project execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion, coordinating team efforts to align with organizational objectives, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates. Additionally, the role entails developing strategic plans to optimize workflows, identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Responsible for managing and conducting the upkeep and restoration of all machinery and equipment across multiple locations.
Design and execute a robust maintenance program to sustain optimal machine performance and reliability.
Conduct regular assessments to proactively detect potential problems and mitigate the risk of system failures.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues affecting machinery with efficiency to reduce downtime as much as possible.
Direct complex repair troubleshooting initiatives, coordinating as necessary with technical staff to resolve issues efficiently.
Coordinate external repairs and manage vendor service engagements as required to maintain operational efficiency and service quality.
Oversee the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to guarantee the availability of items required for repairs.
Collaborate effectively with the procurement team to ensure accurate ordering and consistent management of optimal stock levels for machine components.
Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and records for every machine, ensuring accurate documentation of repairs, service intervals, and replaced components.
Prepare periodic reports detailing equipment performance, highlighting recurring issues and downtime metrics.
Develop and present budget proposals to address maintenance requirements as well as the procurement of spare parts.
Provide instruction to machine operators and production personnel on fundamental troubleshooting techniques, optimal operational procedures, and proactive maintenance strategies.
Oversee and mentor junior maintenance personnel, with a strong focus on maintaining adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
Ensure all maintenance operations adhere strictly to applicable industry regulations and established safety protocols.
Enforce and uphold rigorous safety standards throughout all stages of machine operation, repair, and maintenance to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Perform thorough safety inspections and verify that all machinery operates within established safe parameters to maintain a secure working environment.
Assess potential improvements to optimize equipment efficiency and prolong machinery durability.
