As the Internal Control Officer, you will be instrumental in evaluating the robustness and efficacy of our internal controls and operational processes. Your primary responsibility will involve the systematic assessment, continuous monitoring, and strategic enhancement of the internal control framework to proactively identify and mitigate risks while protecting company assets. Your role encompasses a broad spectrum of duties, including but not limited to:

Crafting and executing control policies, procedures, and guidelines constitutes a primary responsibility of this role, ensuring robust operational standards and compliance.
Conducting comprehensive risk evaluations to uncover potential threats and weaknesses in systems and processes.
Ensuring adherence to organizational policies and applicable regulatory standards.
Conducting thorough examinations into allegations of fraudulent activities, unethical behavior, or regulatory breaches.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development or a related technical discipline. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential, as is experience with frameworks such as Django or Spring Boot. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a capacity for collaborative work in team environments are also required. Membership in key professional bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ARCA), would be highly beneficial.
