Primary purpose:

Deliver operational assistance to the hotel’s internal control and compliance framework by performing regular control assessments, recording discrepancies, supporting investigative efforts, and guaranteeing prompt resolution of corrective measures to safeguard hotel assets and maintain its reputation.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, operational coordination, and performance evaluation, to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, streamline workflows, and foster innovation across departments. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a primary liaison between senior leadership and staff, facilitating transparent communication and alignment with company goals. Additionally, analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and internal data to recommend informed strategies that enhance competitiveness and sustainability. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and best practices while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability.

Daily, you will conduct thorough control checks, including cash counts, spot checks of POS reconciliation, reviews of night audit variances, and verifications of petty cash across all outlets.

Conduct thorough transaction testing by meticulously sampling and verifying guest folios, credit card settlements, supplier invoices, and payroll entries to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies.

Assist with conducting cycle counts across Food & Beverage, minibar, and housekeeping stores to accurately verify inventory levels, document any discrepancies such as shrinkage, and contribute to implementing effective loss-prevention strategies.

Procurement controls involve validating purchase orders, approval matrices, and vendor documentation to mitigate the risk of unauthorized expenditures.

Compliance monitoring entails managing checklists for statutory, brand, and corporate mandates while generating weekly control reports and flagging any deviations for escalation.

Conduct investigations into potential fraud or discrepancies, systematically tracking corrective actions to ensure proper resolution and verified closure.

Deliver foundational control awareness training sessions and provide assistance in implementing policy updates.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are must-haves. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within a team environment are also critical. At least three years of hands-on experience in software development or a comparable technical role is necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred. Capacity to work both independently and under minimal supervision is expected.

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, or a closely related field is required.

We seek candidates with 1 to 3 years of professional experience in hotel operations, internal audit, or finance, preferably with hands-on familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) or Point of Sale (POS) technologies such as Opera.

Proficiency in Excel, a keen eye for detail, and a foundational forensic mindset are essential, alongside the ability to produce clear written reports and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Onsite employment entails rotating shifts, encompassing weekends and public holidays, to ensure continuous outlet operations and adherence to audit schedules.
