The Interface & Structured Finance Manager serves as the pivotal liaison between the organization and key financial institutions, including the Africa Export Import Bank (Afraid) and similar entities. This role requires building and sustaining robust partnerships with these institutions while fostering an environment of mutual trust and collaboration to drive superior performance. Additionally, the position involves proactively identifying and mitigating technical and commercial risks within the defined scope of work, collaborating closely with strategic planning and technical teams to ensure cohesive execution.

Develop and execute plans to prioritize and manage interactions with financial institutions, cultivating strong, professional relationships through strategic engagement.

As the Afraid Intra-African Trade Champion for Oiler Group of Companies, you will oversee and execute key responsibilities in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. This role involves administering and managing the Group’s functions to enhance intra-African trade initiatives, ensuring compliance with Afraid policies and fostering cross-border economic collaboration. Your responsibilities will include driving trade promotion efforts, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing initiatives that strengthen the Group’s position in the African trade landscape.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the comprehensive suite of tools offered by the Oiler Group of companies through its Intra-African Trade Initiative Products and Programs.

Create and sustain accurate, standardized documentation and consistent reporting for senior management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting critical issues, solutions, and performance metrics to facilitate a clear understanding of risks and their financial implications.

Analyze, develop, enhance, and provide strategic guidance for financial modeling initiatives, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Support the formulation of loan applications to ensure compliance with Afraid Bank’s established criteria.

Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and relevant organizations to advance corporate objectives and safeguard business interests.

Comprehend and advise the organization on all developments concerning pertinent financial institutions while ensuring effective representation.

To remain informed about the bank’s products, initiatives, and strategic choices that could impact the organization, actively seek guidance and updates from senior leadership.

Collect and analyze financial data pertaining to the bank and its associated partners to gain valuable insights and intelligence.

Drive the execution of directives endorsed by both Management and the Board, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational priorities.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Economics, or a Finance-related field is required.

An MBA in a relevant discipline will be considered advantageous.

With a minimum of a decade of professional experience in the banking or financial services sector, candidates should possess a proven track record in a relevant institution.

Proficiency in interpersonal communication is essential for establishing and nurturing connections with internal business units, governmental organizations, and both private production and marketing firms.

Highly intelligent with strong commercial insight and a consistent track record of achieving results, this candidate demonstrates rapid comprehension of new ideas and possesses exceptional numerical proficiency.

Business development professionals with a track record of forging and maintaining influential stakeholder relationships are sought. They must adeptly leverage these connections to successfully advocate for and promote ideas to key decision-makers.

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to effectively persuade and engage stakeholders at all levels.
