Job Summary:
The Insurance & Claims Officer will oversee the administration and management of all corporate insurance policies, guaranteeing punctual renewals, accurate documentation, and streamlined claims processing. This position requires collaboration with insurance brokers and providers to secure optimal coverage and expedite claim resolutions in alignment with organizational operations.
Oversee and execute core duties encompassing project management, stakeholder coordination, and process optimization to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, fostering innovation and efficiency. Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to leadership and relevant stakeholders. Maintain adherence to compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Maintain a current and accurate record of all company insurance policies, including motor, plant and machinery, contractors’ all risk, group life, and other relevant types.
Monitor policy expiration dates vigilantly to ensure prompt renewals, thereby preventing any interruptions in coverage.
Collaborate closely with insurance brokers and companies to facilitate the placement, renewal, and endorsement of policies.
Oversee and track all insurance claims diligently to guarantee prompt processing and finalization.
Collect and forward all necessary documentation to support claims, including incident reports, photographs, and repair estimates, as required.
Track claims progress systematically and deliver timely status reports to senior management on a consistent basis.
Verify that all insurance certificates and documentation are maintained in an organized and readily accessible manner.
Provide assistance to project teams in managing insurance-related documentation and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
Examine insurance policies to verify compliance with organizational operations and contractual commitments.
Aid in confirming insurance specifications outlined within contracts and agreements.
Prepare comprehensive periodic reports detailing insurance coverage, renewal schedules, and the current status of claims.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Business Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Candidates should possess between one and three years of practical experience in insurance administration, claims processing, or an equivalent professional capacity.
Candidates with prior involvement in the insurance brokerage or corporate insurance sectors will be highly regarded.
Proficiency in corporate insurance policies—such as motor, asset, and project-related coverage—is required.
Demonstrates exceptional ability to maintain meticulous organization and accurate record-keeping practices.
Skilled in effectively communicating and maintaining diligent follow-up are essential for this role.
Proven expertise in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
