Purpose of Job

To ensure the accurate and reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing these systems as needed. Additionally, you will provide support to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities

Diagnose, monitor, and conduct routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control systems to verify their accuracy, reliability, and peak operational efficiency.

Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation system malfunctions to reduce operational interruptions and sustain uninterrupted production processes.

Collaborate effectively with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to address operational requirements, coordinate collective efforts, and ensure prompt resolution of issues.

Ensures strict adherence to established safety protocols and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, thereby fostering a secure working environment and upholding legal and regulatory obligations.

Maintains meticulous documentation of all maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs to ensure traceability, provide essential support, and foster ongoing enhancements.

Key metrics will be employed to evaluate performance, encompassing quantifiable benchmarks that gauge productivity, efficiency, and overall contribution to organizational objectives. These indicators may include, but are not limited to, volume, quality standards’ adherence, project completion rates, and alignment with strategic goals. Regular assessments will be conducted to ensure continuous improvement and accountability in meeting established targets.

Instrumentation failures may result in workflow disruptions, requiring prompt attention to minimize operational delays.

Maintains precision in measurement instruments to ensure accurate calibration, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Verifies and adjusts equipment performance to meet specified tolerances, documenting all calibration activities for traceability and compliance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve calibration discrepancies and implements corrective actions when necessary. Possesses strong analytical skills to interpret calibration data and identify trends or anomalies. Familiarity with calibration software and documentation systems is essential for efficient record-keeping and reporting.

Repair effectiveness is a critical measure of performance, ensuring that all repair tasks are executed with precision, timeliness, and adherence to established standards. Seeking a candidate with at least five years of experience in a similar role, proficiency in project management software, and a strong background in data analysis. The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. Responsibilities include coordinating team efforts, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with stakeholders, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues promptly. Proficiency in industry-standard tools and a commitment to continuous learning are essential.

A Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.

A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required.

Professional credentials include active memberships in NIECE, USE, and CORE as essential prerequisites.
