GJ Halcyon Company Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Welder to oversee welding operations and provide guidance to junior technicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing intricate fabrication tasks, performing structural welding duties, and ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards throughout industrial projects.
Oversee and execute key operational duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the department, including managing daily workflows, coordinating team efforts, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with organizational goals, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions that enhance performance. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline processes and mitigate risks. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and generate reports to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Additionally, lead by example, mentor team members, and promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Effectively decipher intricate technical drawings, interpret welding symbols, and analyze fabrication specifications to ensure precise execution of engineering designs.
Conduct MIG, TIG, and arc welding operations with exacting precision on carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloy materials.
Conduct thorough inspections of weld quality to guarantee compliance with AWS and BS EN standards across all completed work.
Skilled professionals are required to accurately cut, grind, and prepare heavy metal components, ensuring they are properly prepared for welding processes. This role demands precision and attention to detail to meet fabrication standards and safety protocols. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and the ability to operate relevant machinery effectively.
We provide leadership and guidance to less experienced team members, including junior welders and apprentices, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and adhere to established safety protocols.
Ensure welding equipment remains in optimal working condition while rigorously adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Investigate welding defects thoroughly and propose appropriate corrective measures.
Requirements:
Holders of a Trade Test I Certificate with a minimum of three years of demonstrated proficiency in welding are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrates a strong history of successfully completing structural, pipe, or heavy fabrication projects.
Certification in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding is required, with a 6G pipe welding certification considered a valuable asset.
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and capable of executing tasks autonomously with minimal oversight.
Effective leadership, robust problem-solving abilities, and an unwavering commitment to safety are essential.
Physically capable of performing duties in elevated and restricted environments.
What We Offer:
The annual base compensation for this position is set at $120,000.
Salary is open to negotiation for applicants who possess exceptional skills, pertinent certifications, and substantial relevant experience.
Full-time positions come with additional compensation for overtime hours worked on project assignments.
